Grant Burge Meshach Shiraz 2016 750 ml
A benchmark Barossa Valley Shiraz, Grant Burge Meshach 2016 is sourced from some of the region’s oldest low-yielding vineyards, crafted only in exceptional vintages to reflect power, elegance, and longevity. Named after Meshach Burge, the family patriarch, this flagship wine is one of Australia’s most collectible Shiraz releases.
The 2016 vintage was outstanding in the Barossa — warm, dry conditions and an extended ripening period produced grapes of exceptional concentration, balance, and structure. Deep crimson-purple in colour, it opens with intense aromas of blackberry, dark plum, mocha, cedar, and exotic spice, supported by beautifully integrated oak. The palate is full-bodied and opulent yet finely structured, delivering layers of rich dark fruit, chocolate, and savoury spice framed by silky tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is long, powerful, and elegant, showcasing both vineyard pedigree and vintage excellence.
Cellaring potential: 20+ years, with extended decanting recommended in its youth to unlock its full aromatic and structural complexity. A superb vintage of Meshach — bold, refined, and built to age.
